The closest airports to Dhikala Forest Rest House are the Pantnagar Airport and the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From Pantnagar, the rest house is approximately a 3 to 4-hour drive away. Meanwhile, the Delhi airport is about a 6 to 7-hour drive, making it a viable option for those looking to embark on a longer road journey.

The Dhikala Forest Guest House offers two dining options within its premises, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Guests can savor delicious buffet meals, known for their exceptional quality. One of the dining facilities is managed by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department’s KMVN canteen, offering tasty and reasonably priced vegetarian dishes. The other is a privately-run establishment with an à la carte menu for more variety.
Additionally, a general store is available on-site for purchasing everyday essentials. It’s important to note that only vegetarian food is served, and alcohol or non-vegetarian items are strictly prohibited, in line with park regulations.
Itinerary
The gypsy is going to pick you up early in the morning from Ramnagar and take you to the Dhangarhi Entrance gate for Dhikala Night Stay. After completing the necessary paperwork, proceed to Dhikala Forest Lodge. Check-in for Dhikala accommodations is permitted till 12:00 AM. Lunch is available at KMVN Canteen. Prepare for the Evening jeep safari. Once the jeep safari is over, head back to Forest Lodge. Dinner at the KMVN canteen and Overnight Stay at Dhikala Forest Lodge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The best time to visit is during the months of 15 November to 15 June when the weather is pleasant and wildlife sightings are abundant.
Only from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM may one enter the Dhagari gate, which is the main gate. Entry will not be permitted after 4:00 PM, and reservations will be canceled without a refund.
During their stay, visitors can eat at the on-site restaurant, Except Sarpduli & Sultan Forest Rest House.
There are no TVs, Air Conditioners and Electric Kettle in any of the Dhikala Forest Rest House’s rooms. Although there are electrical outlets in the rooms for your phones and cameras. There are Ceiling Fan & There are solar geysers, you will get hot water there.
Private vehicles are not allowed within the core area of the forest. You can reach the lodge via designated vehicles provided by the Tour Operators.
